What is Reformer Pilates?

Reformer Pilates is a form of resistance-based, low-impact exercise performed on a machine called the Reformer. This machine includes a sliding carriage, adjustable springs, straps, and pulleys, allowing for smooth, controlled movements that build strength, improve posture, and increase mobility.

Unlike mat Pilates, the Reformer adds layers of resistance and support to enhance your workout experience. It’s an incredibly versatile system that works for every body – whether you’re focused on building lean muscle, rehabilitating an injury, improving your balance, or just moving with more awareness.

Cardio Flow Reformer

HIGH ENERGY | FULL BODY | ELEVATED HEART RATE

Cardio Flow is a dynamic, rhythm-driven Reformer class that blends traditional Pilates movements with continuous transitions and energising flow. The pace is higher than classical Pilates, encouraging a gentle cardio effect while still prioritising precision and alignment. Ideal for: Clients who enjoy a faster-paced class and want to increase endurance, burn calories, and build muscular stamina. Perfect for those who like a good sweat and want to leave feeling energised, recharged, and strong.

Strength Reformer

CONTROLLED RESISTANCE | DEEP ENGAGEMENT | LONG-LASTING RESULTS

This session focuses on muscular endurance and tone through slow, focused movement and heavier spring resistance. You’ll challenge your body through longer holds, deeper activation, and powerful sequences that target every major muscle group.

IDEAL FOR:

Anyone wanting to build strength, improve posture, and tone their physique. This class is great for injury prevention, developing a strong core, and replacing or complementing gym-based strength training in a more mindful, sustainable way.

Jumpboard Reformer

LOW-IMPACT CARDIO | HIGH-INTENSITY FEEL | FUN AND FUNCTIONAL

Using a padded jumpboard attachment, this class creates a cardio-based, rebounding experience on the Reformer. You’ll jump horizontally while lying down, making it both fun and surprisingly intense – with all the benefits of plyometric movement minus the impact on your joints.

IDEAL FOR:

Those looking for a joint-friendly, low-impact cardio burn that’s still playful and energising. Excellent
for runners, athletes, or anyone recovering from high-impact strain who still craves a heart-pumping

Classical Reformer

ROOTED IN TRADITION | FOCUSED ON PRECISION | PURE PILATES

This session follows the original sequence developed by Joseph Pilates, designed to build strength, flexibility, and control through a structured, flowing progression. Movements build on one another, and the consistent structure allows you to track and deepen your practice over time.

STOTT Reformer

MODERN SCIENCE MEETS CLASSICAL ROOTS | REHAB-FOCUSED AND FUNCTIONAL

STOTT Pilates is a contemporary approach that adapts classical movements using the latest research in physical therapy and biomechanics. It places emphasis on spinal alignment, breath, joint safety, and functional movement patterns

IDEAL FOR:

Clients recovering from injury (with medical clearance), individuals with back or postural issues, or anyone looking for a gentler, more therapeutic practice. Particularly suited for post-natal clients, beginners, and those seeking long-term, sustainable progress.

Reformer Pilates is for every body — regardless of age, experience, or fitness level. Whether you’re looking to tone up, improve your posture, recover from injury, build core strength, or simply move more mindfully, there’s a class style that’s right for you.

We are proud to welcome pregnant, pre-natal, and post-natal clients. As long as you feel confident and your designated healthcare provider has advised that Reformer Pilates is safe for you, you’re more than welcome to join our classes. Our instructors are trained to offer appropriate modifications to ensure a safe and supportive experience at every stage.

What to Bring to Class

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable session, please come prepared with the following:

• Non-slip grip socks (available to purchase at reception if needed)
• A padlock for use in our secure lockers
• Fitted, comfortable activewear (without zips or loose fabric)

We provide complimentary face towels and bottled water is available for purchase at reception. Please Note: For hygiene, safety, and the comfort of all clients, shoes, coats, and bags are strictly not permitted inside the studio. All personal items must be stored in lockers prior to entering the space.
